An interactive panel on how to effectively perform a cross-examination in international arbitration. It will focus on underlying principles and common mistakes made by those newer to it. The discussion will be brought to life through a mock format, with faculty demonstrating how they would approach and deliver an effective cross-examination. Drawing on real-life experiences, this session will explore what skilful cross-examination looks like in real life.

This session will see students develop short crosses using realistic hypothetical scenarios designed to help you respond effectively to the challenges that arise in practice. Delegates will work in groups to explore the scenarios and construct their own short cross-examination, with two members of each group presenting to the wider group for feedback from the faculty.

The faculty will provide supportive and targeted feedback to help improve cross-examination technique.
