Clare Lee established the Dispute Resolution Practice of Jingtian & Gongcheng LLP Hong Kong office in 2021. Before joining Jingtian & Gongcheng, Clare was the Head of Litigation of a well established Hong Kong law firm specializing in real estate and high-stakes litigation. Clare’s previous experience also includes serving as a Consultant at an international law firm and as Government Counsel for the Hong Kong Department of Justice.

Clare’s practice includes cross-border and complex commercial disputes and arbitration, land, building management, and employment matters, regulatory investigations, judicial reviews and multi-billion white collar cases. She represents many central state-owned enterprises, multinational companies and listed companies in high-value disputes arising from complex commercial transactions.

In addition to her dispute resolution capabilities, Clare also brings a wealth of experience in insolvency and restructuring. Her experience in this area includes commencing and defending numerous winding-up and bankruptcy proceedings, assisting liquidators and creditors in the restructuring process, advising debtors, trustees and/or transferees of company assets on their respective liabilities in insolvency.

Clare was nominated as Dispute Resolution Lawyer of the Year by ALB in 2023 and 2026. Her latest cross border enforcement case Lead Good Group Ltd v Creditland Group Ltd [2025] HKCFI 3646 was awarded by the China Business Law Journal as Cross Border Dispute of the Year 2025, after winning 8 consecutive battles before the Court and becoming a landmark case in global enforcement and insolvency history.
