Aigoul Kenjebayeva is a Partner at Dentons and a leading Kazakhstan lawyer, arbitrator and legal scholar. She served as Managing Partner of Dentons (formerly Salans) in Kazakhstan and Central Asia from the establishment of its Almaty office in 1994 until 2022. She has more than 30 years of legal practice and extensive experience in dispute resolution and commercial law.

She was the first Kazakh lawyer appointed to the ICC International Court of Arbitration, where she served from 2017 to 2024, and was a member of the SCC Arbitrators’ Council. She currently serves on the Scientific Advisory Council of the Constitutional Court of Kazakhstan, the Arbitration Panel of the AIFC International Arbitration Centre, the AIFC Court Users’ Committee and the AIFC Legal Advisory Council.

Aigoul is the founder of the ZanSar Institute for Expert Legal Research and the author and editor of several books on access to justice, arbitration and the legal profession. She is consistently recognized by Chambers & Partners, The Legal 500 and IFLR1000 among Kazakhstan’s leading lawyers and is ranked by Chambers as an Eminent Practitioner in Dispute Resolution.
