Kelvin Cheong is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal’s Disputes & Investigations Asia practice. He has specialised in forensic accounting for over 19 years, with extensive experience in dispute resolution, forensic accounting investigations and contract compliance reviews. Kelvin began his career in the United States, later relocating to Mainland China, and is now based in Hong Kong, bringing a broad international perspective to complex financial matters and cross-border disputes.
He has supported multinational corporations, Asian domestic companies and individuals, alongside their legal counsel, in litigation and arbitration matters which require forensic accounting expertise, including loss of profits calculation, contract compliance issues, fund tracing analysis, and accounting and fraud related issues. He has been appointed as an expert witness, has provided oral testimony and has been cross-examined in numerous occasions.
He is also deeply experienced in forensic investigations and compliance reviews, including cases involving alleged financial statement fraud, misappropriations of funds, suspected money laundering activities and intellectual property (“IP”) licensing contract compliance and royalty inspections.
