Ercüment Erdem is the Founder and Senior Partner of Erdem & Erdem Law Office. He has 40 years of experience in international commercial law, mergers and acquisitions, banking and finance, capital markets, privatizations and arbitration. He represents a broad range of high-profile international and national clients in a variety of industries including energy, construction, finance, retail, real estate, aviation, healthcare and insurance. He has extensive experience in cross-border projects concerning project finance, privatization, mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions in a wide geography including Europe and Asia countries. Ercüment Erdem is a member of the Istanbul Bar Association and held the position of Chair of the ICC Commercial Law and Practice Commission between 2019 and 2025. He currently contributes to the work of the same Commission as a member and is also an emeritus member of the ICC Institute Council, a former member of the ICC Court of Arbitration, and a member of both the ICC Incoterms Experts Group and the Turkish National Committee of ICC Arbitration Commission. In addition to these memberships, he actively participates in many working groups of the ICC. He is also a member of the Swiss Arbitration Association (ASA), the Istanbul Arbitration Centre (ISTAC), the International Bar Association (IBA), the Henri Capitant Association of Friends of French Legal Culture and the Banking and Commercial Law Research Institute. He was also appointed as a judge of the European Nuclear Energy Tribunal (ENET).
