Antolín Fernández Antuña is an independent arbitrator with a distinguished track record, having participated as counsel, legal expert, and arbitrator in more than 50 arbitral proceedings, including the Spanish renewable energy investment arbitration saga, in which he was entrusted with the defence of the State. The Jus Mundi Report 2022 on Energy and Renewables described him as “the most active arbitration practitioner in the field.” He is triple-qualified as a lawyer, economist, and chartered accountant, and holds a master’s degree in public administration and taxation. He is a former State Tax Inspector and former Counsel for the Kingdom of Spain. He currently serves as Vice-Chair of the ICC Spain Arbitration Commission, and he has been appointed to the list of arbitrators in more than 25 arbitral institutions worldwide. Mr. Fernández Antuña now dedicates his practice exclusively to serving as an arbitrator, sitting in a wide range of commercial and investment disputes, including several ICSID arbitrations.
