Dr. Emad Hussein is an international arbitrator, accredited mediator (CEDR, SIMI, IMI), and academic specialising in international dispute resolution. He serves as Senior Adviser (MENA) at SIDRA and Deputy President of the International Court of Arbitration at OIC-AC. He is also a Senior Expert - Alternative Dispute Resolution at the Commercial Law Development Program of the United States' Department of Commerce.

He is empanelled with ICC, DIAC, ADCCAC, HKIAC, QICCA, CRCICA, SCCA, AAA-ICDR, LCICA and SIAC, and listed as mediator with CAO, AfDB-IRM, EIB-CM, CEDR, ADGMAC, DIFC Courts, WIPO AMC, IICRA and IDSC.

An AFL of CIArb, he trains arbitrators and mediators under the CIArb Fellowship route in collaboration with SCCA. He also serves as Associate Lecturer at Newcastle University and sits on advisory boards including LCICA, InnovADR and BUiD, and as Court Member and Senior Adviser at CIMAC.
He has published widely in leading journals, books and practitioner platforms on international arbitration, mediation and dispute resolution in the Middle East and beyond.

He holds a PhD from SOAS (University of London), a PhD from ISM (USA), an LLM from QMUL, and an LLM from Newcastle University.
