Anneliese Day KC is a leading commercial barrister at Fountain Court Chambers with a distinguished practice spanning complex commercial litigation and international arbitration at both first instance and appellate level. Called to the Bar in 1996 and appointed King’s Counsel in 2012, she is widely recognised as one of the leading silks of her generation. She has acted in some of the most significant and high-value disputes worldwide, appearing before courts and tribunals across the UK, Asia Pacific, the Middle East, the US, Europe and the Caribbean.
Alongside her advocacy practice, Anneliese is a highly regarded international arbitrator. In addition to her counsel work she also regularly sits as sole, presiding and co-arbitrator in major disputes across a range of sectors, including commercial, construction, energy and investment treaty disputes under the rules of leading institutions such as the LCIA, ICC, SIAC and UNCITRAL, as well as in ad hoc proceedings. A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a former member of the LCIA Court, she has been recognised by the legal directories as a leading arbitrator and was named International Arbitration Silk of the Year at the Chambers & Partners Bar Awards.
