Diane Peng is a partner in Fangda Partners dispute resolution team in Beijing and also worked in the Hong Kong office of Fangda since 2024. She has more than 15 years’ experience in practicing law in mainland China and specializes in international arbitration proceedings as well as cross-border/foreign-related litigation/arbitration proceedings. Diane has experience with all the major arbitration rules and has handled some of the largest and most high-profile cases involving Chinese parties. Diane serves as the Representative of North Asia for the ICC YAAF (Young Arbitrators and ADR Forum) (2021-2024), a member of ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR (2024-2027). She is also a member of the AAA ICDR Greater China Committee (2024-2026) and an Arbitral Institution Liaison Officer for the Asia-Pacific Forum for International Arbitration (2019- ). Diane is named in the lists of arbitrators of the HKIAC as well as Ebram and panel of mediators of CIETAC. She is also listed on the panel of arbitrators of several PRC Arbitration Commissions. Beyond acting as arbitral counsel and arbitrator, Diane has extensively participated in formulation of international arbitration rules and norms. She is a member of the Task Force on the revision of the IBA Guidelines on Party Representation in International Arbitration since 2025. Also, she is a delegate of UNCITRAL Working Group II (Dispute Settlement), 82nd Session (Recognition and Enforcement of electronic arbitral awards).
