Rohit is a partner in Freshfields’ international arbitration group. He is experienced in representing multinational corporates, sovereign states, and leading private equity houses in complex, high-value disputes, usually involving cross-border elements and, increasingly, technology-intensive sectors. He has been involved in arbitrations under the ICC, UNCITRAL, SIAC, and other arbitral rules. Rohit regularly advises global clients on high-stakes AI-related regulatory inquiries and investigations, with a particular emphasis on the rapidly shifting APAC landscape. He brings a unique, firsthand industry perspective to his practice following a nearly two-year secondment with Google, during which he tackled a diverse range of emerging issues, including AI. Beyond enforcement matters, he provides strategic counsel on the broader regulatory environment and its impact on the development of AI-driven products and services. In addition to his broad disputes practice across various regions, Rohit also leads the India Disputes practice of the firm.
