Jonathan (“Jon”) Chevry is a Legal Counsel on one of the ICSID Case Management Teams. Based in Bangkok since September 2024, Jon has been involved in developing and strengthening ICSID’s relationships in South-East Asia and the Pacific. Jon has also been involved on several other institutional initiatives, including on ICSID ADRs, and on ICSID’s recent study on contract-based arbitration. Before joining ICSID in 2019, Jon worked as an attorney at White & Case in Paris for five years, where he was involved in international commercial and investment arbitration proceedings. He also served as a consultant for the French Ministry of Economic Affairs, advising on issues related to France’s international investment protection policy. Jon holds a PhD in Public International Law and regularly speaks and publishes on issues relating to international investment law and dispute settlement.
